About Us

Paul and Michelle Vallance have both worked in the Marine industry combined for over 25yrs. During this time they have employed many great crew members. However, it was always one of the most stressful parts of the job finding the right candidate who would ‘fit in’. They pride themselves that they got it right 99% of the time because they used some interesting methods of interviewing, such as meeting chefs at 0530 for breakfast in a hotel! Why you might ask? It was always the weakest point of the interview, “can we live with each other?” what better way to find out than over a conversation while having breakfast at 0530!

The Employer

The issue of when a crew member has to leave the boat at very short notice, for any possible reason, makes the Human Recourses part of running a boat more challenging and stressful.

Our main objective is to have a range of the best people available for short term contracts, these candidates may not be available all year or want long term contracts and hence will not be on the ‘open market’. They will have all their paperwork up to date and references checked ready to move at very short notice.

The Applicant

We are building a database of the best crew the industry has to offer. If you fit into that category we would like you to register with us. We are very interested in you if you are looking for temporary positions and or have a very special skill that is not the norm. We will actively promote your skills and CV as opposed to waiting for a chance contact from a boat.

Registration is easy and free. Contact us via Whatsap or email: info@lastminuteyachtcrew.com
